Through his lyrics and the aesthetic musical comedy, he focuses in the social, spiritual, mystical matters and human passions. For Hilton, intuition is the medium that leads his workmanship.
His eclecticism in his way of composing and the fusion of different trends transforms his work into music with no borders.
He initiated its career participating in music festivals, taking several music courses, such as vocal techniques, show direction, music therapy, aesthetics and composition, conducting and orchestra participation among others. He performed in several shows both as a soloist and with his fellow musicians.
In 1982, he launched the album “Confessions of a Composite Drawing”; he meets Hans-Joachim Koellreutter. He participated in the “Pixinguinha Project” in 1985/86, with performances in Rio de Janeiro and northeast of Brazil, together with Luiz Melodia, Carlos Lyra, Sandra de Sá, Andréa Daltro, Rosa Maria and Tambores Urbanos. In 1988, Hilton went one of the composers executed in the “Concert Morning Project” of the “Choir and the Symphonic Orchestra of Paraná”. In 1990, he launched the album “Archetypes” displaying a modern sonority. In 1997, he publishes “Through the Waters of Verb”, a book of visual poetry, lyrics and monologues. The CD “Eyes of Light” is the musical launching of the year 1998 and counts with the participation of great musicians. In 1999, he publishes Lyra Barcelos’ book “Words of Fire”. In 2002, he gives a new interpretation to the CD “Archetypes” bringing up a new approach to some of its songs and launching other new ones. Some musicians of international reputation participate in the “Archetypes”, such as percussionist Airto Moreira, the drummers Nenê, Celso Alberti and Endrigo Bettega, trombonist and arranger Vittor Santos and some other great artists of the musical scene. The CD booklet was richly illustrated. In 2003, he idealized and produced the specials “Archetypes - Hilton Barcelos” and “Airto Moreira”, presented in the Brazilian Public TV. In 2006, he launched “Music Made in Paraná”, a book with one hundred scores, lyrics and biographies of more than 60 composers. In 2007, he concept, script and show direct of launching that book; in the same year, he launched the book “Beyond Pearls” with scores, poetry and photos by herself. In 2008, he participated of the documentary recording “Subway Music”, by “Olho Vivo Project”; he compose the lyric “Fênix”, of the Murillo da Rós, recorder in Madrid, Spain; in this time he came your work for Spain. In 2009, he launches the songbook “In the Paths of Time”, contain scores, poetry and lyrics by herself and partnerships.
