The other members of the band come from different musical worlds and bring their own influences. With this first album, the Ibrahim Djo experience offers a trip between different styles, from Tuareg traditional music to blues; from rock to pop and jazz. In his lyrics, Ibrahim evokes life in the desert: its problems, joys and traditions. His aim is to value and protect the wealth of his culture, to remind the young generations of the dangers of modern society while forgetting their traditions. By writing his songs in Tamasheq, which is the language of the “Kel Tamasheq“ (the Tuaregs), Ibrahim wants to speak directly to his people who face so many problems during this transitional period.
