At age 17 Beauchesne received a full scholarship to the St. Louis Conservatory. She studied under John Sant' Ambrogio and Leslie Parnas. She continued her music studies at the New England Conservatory and HARID with David Wells and Johanne Perron.
Michelle has performed with Leonard Bernstein, Yo Yo Ma and Isaac Stern at the Tanglewood Festival. She continued her studies at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France. There she had the opportunity to work with Jean-Marie Gammard of the Paris Conservatory.
Beauchesne has performed around the United Sates with the Florida Philharmonic, Palm Beach Opera Company, Berkeley Symphony and the American Tour where she was the principal cellist with the Bolshoi Ballet.
Michelle has recorded and toured with Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli, Natalie Cole, John Cage and MANA. With the Grammy Award winning Mana she debuted on MTV Unplugged. This took her beyond her classical roots into new musical genres.
In September of 2006 Michelle's first album, titled appropriately Solo, was released on McCusic records. Duo was released in 2007 followed by Dolce in 2009. Cello Christmas was released in December of 2009.
