The album was released in 1992 by Earache Records. It is the first album featuring Danny Herrera on drums following the departure of Mick Harris.
A limited edition of this album included a 3" bonus CD; the vinyl release included a bonus 7" containing the same material. The version of the album which is currently in print features The DVD as a bonus disc, but does not include the original bonus tracks.
This album proved to be their biggest success, peaking at number 58 on the UK chart.
The album features samples of dialogue from the movies They Live and Full Metal Jacket.
