During this time he was playing & listening to funk, r&b, progressive rock, & be-bop. During the 90's Russ completed a degree in music, & developed his playing skills on guitar & keyboards. By this stage he was actively involved in contributing to songwriting & arranging for various bands. Since 2007, Russ has been writing and recording his own songs, developing his own style & sound - the music has elements of electro-funk, world music, electronica, progressive house, hip-hop, rocktronica, & alternative dance. What you will find is an emphasis on rhythmic complexity, combinations of ethnic & contemporary instruments, electronic sounds & FX, & modern arrangements - have a listen to the songs & see what you think.
