The band is the side project of Kelly Orr (Vocals) and Matt Moody (Vocals) of the hardcore band Mikoto. Kelly created a few beats with the programs Reason and GarageBand. He showed them to Matt, who agreed that it would be a fun side project, which led them to ask their friend Forrest to help them record their first song, titled "Don't Hold Your Breath Boy". It was released on the band's MySpace, and the band immediately started gaining a fan base.
The band, which now consists of Moody and Orr, along with friends Charity (Keyboards) and Max (Drums), later released a 6-song EP, titled "Heart Beat" to order and on iTunes. It is also posted on their official MySpace page, at http://www.myspace.com/teenheartsrock.
The band has played alongside artists such as Brokencyde, Millionaires, and Jeffree Star.
