He was the founder of punk rock band The Stalin, one of the dominant acts of the 1980s Japanese punk scene. Later went on to form Stalin and Video Stalin. He has also released many solo records under various names: 遠藤 道郎 (Endo Michiro), ミチロウ, Endo Michiko, Endo Michiro, 遠藤みちろう, 遠藤ミチロウ, 膿 End 痴郎, Michiro, Michiro Endoh, Michiro Endow, Michiro-Endo, Michirou Endoh, Michilow, Michirō, Michiro, Get the Help!.
He was active on the live scene, both as a solo performer and also playing in the acoustic band M.J.Q., as well as being part of NOTALIN'S and Touch-Me.
He passed away on April 25, 2019 (aged 68).
