Their music comes from a colourful and unpretentious mixture of the essence and roots of the Portuguese music. Beautiful sounds that come from a mix of such different instruments but that complement each other extremely well.
"7 Saias" was formed in 2008, the same year the 1st album "Rapazes da Nossa Terra" was released. The success was immediate and it reached gold.
In 2009, they remixed the 2nd album entitled "Por Esse Rio Abaixo", an album that highlighted all the rhythmic part of the traditional Portuguese music and where they had the participation of "As Papoilas de Stº. Aleixo da Restauração". Together they gave a new version of the song "Ó Rama Ó Que Linda Rama".
In 2010 the 3rd album "Ai as Moças" was released. As with the previous ones, it had a very characteristic sound where the rhythmic base is highlighted without ever losing the authenticity of the traditional Portuguese music.
In 2011 "7 Saias" participated in the Portuguese Song Festival Contest with the theme "Embalo do Coração", which gave way to the 4th album.
The "7 Saias" music and performances on stage brought about several invitations for the group to perform in various galas and television programs, and July 2nd at the Scotiabank CHIN International Picnic.
