Axwell
Axwell, along with Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello is one-third of of what has become known as the Swedish House Mafia.
Axwell, born Axel Hedfors in the Swedish countryside, found that music was in his system from a tender age. Playing the drums at the age of 9, he became frustrated with his fellow classmates who could not keep up; he traded his drums at the age of 13 for a computer so he could play all the instruments himself.

Axwell released alot of acidtechno music made with Fasttracker2 in the years of 1995-1997 under the pseudonym Quazar (of Sanxion) and was featured in the intro of the warezgroup Hybrid's crack of the classic computer game Worms 1. During this time he also competed in music competitions, most notably at the demo party Hype in southern Sweden.
During the mid-2000s, Axwell rose to prominence as a solo artist. His hit Feel the Vibe was very well received on European dancefloors, and once the track soon picked up support from a host of big DJs it was re-released with a vocal, reaching #16 in the UK charts. Other famous tracks include Watch the Sunrise as well as dance music remixes of Hard Fi’s Hard to Beat and Roger Sanchez’s Turn on the Music.

Feel the Vibe
Axwell Lyrics
(You've gotta feel the vibe)
Holding out for you in the crowds
Boy I need it now (whoa)
So play me what you know I wanna hear
And I'll show you how (whoa)
I've waited so long
To have you with me
All too soon the morning's gone
(You've gotta feel the vibe)
You've got to let yourself go til the morning comes
'Cos I don't wanna think about it
Got to let go til the morning comes (You've gotta feel the vibe)
Yeah yeah yeah
Standing in your ivory towel
Don't you know what you give (whoa)
I was reaching out for you now you're here
You change the way that I live (whoa)
I've waited so long
And now you're with me
All too soon the morning's gone
(You've gotta feel the vibe)
You've got to let yourself go til the morning comes
'Cos I don't wanna think about it
Got to let go til the morning comes (whoa)
Yeah yeah
Let yourself go til the morning comes
'Cos I don't wanna think about it
Got to let go til the morning comes (You've gotta feel the vibe)
Yeah yeah yeah
You're coming my way, we're moving in time
You're lifting me up now I feel your vibe
Ooohhh ooooooo
Oh yeah
We're starting to sweat, we're moving in time
You're lifting me up now I feel your vibe
Wayyeahhhhhh
You've got to let yourself go til the morning comes
'Cos I don't wanna think about it
Got to let go til the morning comes (whoa)
You've got to let yourself go til the morning comes
'Cos I don't wanna think about it
Got to let go til the morning comes (You've gotta feel the vibe)
Hey yeah yeah

This song is the most important song of my entire life.
When I was about 20-21, a friend and I had made it a goal to DJ in a club. We went to a few nights and lucky enough we were booked for a few gigs on Thursdays as openers. Those sets were great fun. One night we got swapped out to do the main slots for the evening. It was a pretty normal thursday and I was so stoked. I started playing some french house classics and maybe 20 minutes into my set I look up and the entire floor is absolutely packed. I was shocked but soo excited. Tons of people were dancing, so in the moment I knew what I needed to do - throw this track on!! I can still remember clear as day how the floor lit up on the main drop, about 20-30 people moved right up by the booth, signing the lyrics to this track, when the drop came, it just went off! I DJ'd before and after (at bigger gigs even) and this moment still has not been topped.
To this day, there are few memories in my life that are as important as this one. Every time I listen to this track, I can close my eyes and see that very crowd dancing. If I ever feel down, sad or whatever, I just listen to this track and think of the best night of my life. Thanks for making such a great one, Axwell.

Even if the bassline, the hihats and the overall pumping feel sounds like Daft Punk, this was very unique when it came out.
The dreamy pads, the buildups, the arrangement, the kick, the distorted and reverbed lead synth, the falsetto reverbed vocals and the chords were just so feel good.
The overall production was also sonically sounding better than anything else in 2004.
