B-univ is a music unit of Koichi Namiki & Takenobu Mitsuyoshi that arran… Read Full Bio ↴B-univ is a music unit of Koichi Namiki & Takenobu Mitsuyoshi that arranges and plays game music of Sega (later Sega Games and Sega Interactive ). The official name is "Baby-Universe"
In 1993, in parallel with the predecessor S.S.T. BAND Namiki and Mitsuyoshi participated , the project was started. With the game music festival in August of the same year, S.S.T. BAND was dissolved, and in December of the same year Toshiba EMI · Yumex label, debuted with album VIRTUA RACING & OUT RUNNERS
In addition to Huma Kumarumu who is a member of former S.S.T. BAND, musicians such as Murakami "Ponta" Shuichi , Yu Toru , Sakurai Tetsuo , Hoppy Kamiyama , Otomo Yoshihide participate in recording . Besides, Dave and Vocal are participating in the same SEGA sound manager David Leightsee , lyrics and arrange Hatata Aki are participating .
On January 22, 1994 , live at the event "SEGA VIRTUA NIGHT !!!" held at Nishiazabu club "YELLOW".
With the theme of hit by then such as " Virtua fighter " " Daytona USA ", one single and four albums are released in about one year. KBS Kyoto Radio "B-univ · Virtua factory" personality ( Assistant was a female college student at that time Haruka Ikesawa ) who was in good hands, but in the following year Namiki left Sega. After that, no activity as a B-univ was seen, and it was suspended in just over a year.
