Her two solo CDs (with her band Dúlra), I am Stretched on Your Grave (BMG Classics/DHM) and Dúil, Irish Songs of Love and Nature (EMI/Virgin Classics) were released to rave reviews in 2000, and 2001, and continue to haunt radio playlists in Ireland and abroad.
In 2006 Caitríona (with director Eric Fraad) founded eX, an ensemble that specialises in visually stunning, sonically arresting performances of vocal music of the 11th to 18th centuries. She has acted as music director and soloist in eX productions of “Ex Tenebris” and “Christ Lag in Todes Banden” and has performed in eX’s “Barock” (guest director, Konrad Junghänel), “The Rape of the Lock” (guest musical advisor, Christopher Hogwood) and “Song’s from a Gothic Room” (guest director, Pedro Memelsdorff).
Caitríona has made eleven commercial recordings for BMG, EMI, Avie and Vox both as a soloist and as a member of Sequentia, The Harp Consort and Joglaresa.
She has toured throughout North America, Europe, Mexico, and Israel, including such venues as The Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and Cité de la Musique and has appeared at numerous festivals including the Utrecht Early Music Festival, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Festival Cervantino Guanajuato, Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Concerts Spirituels Geneva, Zagreb Summer Evenings Festival and Musical Evenings in St. Donat’s, Zadar.
In addition to her roles in eX productions, she has created and performed roles in Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" (Dido), Handel's "Hercules" (Lichas), Hildegard von Bingen's "Ordo Virtutum"
(Castitas) and a unique, fully-staged version of Handel's "Messiah".
While living in New York, Caitríona was a member of Banshee, a collective of Irish women artists whose offbeat performances became a fixture on the downtown scene. After relocating to Dublin, Caitríona wrote and starred in "The Stolen Child", a fully staged musical theatre work, which toured Ireland for over 30 performances. She also wrote and performed the soundtrack to Emer Martin’s film “Unaccompanied”.
Currently Caitríona is working on a new solo CD, and performance projects with eX and Dúlra.
