Charity's mother, Damie Rivers, and father, Cragg Black, enrolled their daughter in Indianapolis' art camps to prepare her for the stage. Always having a love for music and arts, Charity had a natural flare for acting and singing. Charity's grandmother got her involved with the local modeling circuit as a child. Finding that she enjoyed singing much more than anything, Charity joined a Destiny's Child cover group. The young musician assuming the role of Beyonce. "I was just singing. I like my voice, but I had no clue of it's power at that age," says Charity. After joining her high school's gospel choir, Charity went in search of a way to break into the business. Charity says, "My family is a great influence on my music! They are very supportive." Charity writes and performs all her own vocals, and her brother, Justin "Jaybe" Black, is the chemist behind her menacing beats. "I love a good bass track. [laughs] Without that, the song has no heartbeat," says Charity with a sly smirk. This young lady is destined for greatness.
