FEAR THE CLOWN is a thick and heavy, emotionally driven 4-piece nu-metal band from the Oklahoma City area.
Thick, textured hard rock made by four individuals who live by it. An aural assault on life. Newly added we welcome Landon Poff on lead vocals to the FEAR THE CLOWN family. Andrew West who used to do the lead vocals is now on guitar and vocals, although we sometimes call him Gambit. On bass guitar and backup vocals, FTC has Mike Waggener tearing up the sound and stage -- literally. To conclude this thick nusical experience, the man behind the beats and samples is the mysterious 17-19-33, although we sometimes call him Chris.
Country and tonadoes, watch out something else is tearing up Oklahoma City...FEAR THE CLOWN is Oklahoma City’s hottest hard rock trio. Formed in 1997, Andrew West (vocals/guitar) and Chris Shy (drums) looked to create a unique sound setting them apart from sound-alike hard rock bands. While searching for that sound, the band went through many line-up changes. Success came when Mike Waggener’s (bass/vocals) thick and heavy bass sound was added. FEAR THE CLOWN was re-born in August of 1998. Now with Landon Poff joining the family as lead vocalist making Andrew West guitar/vocals, and Mike Waggener bass/backup vocals. FEAR THE CLOWN has been re-born once again in 2002. The "intensely satisfying rock experience" known as FEAR THE CLOWN brings together the sounds of yesterday (Depeche Mode) with the undeniable sounds of today (Tool, Deftones, Filter). With crunching guitar riffs, thick bass grooves, and heavy drum beats, FEAR THE CLOWN leaves the listener heavily anticipating their next move. Experimenting with different sounds is something that FEAR THE CLOWN is not afraid to do and they do it well. With their infectious sound and edgy stage performance, FEAR THE CLOWN has already gained a strong following in their hometown. This fan base has quickly expanded to include many loyal fans across the nation, including Las Vegas. "Thick, textured hard rock made by four individuals who live by it: an aural assault on life," is how one FEAR THE CLOWN supporter describes their music. According to Chris Shy, "The best way to sum up a FTC performance is a roller coaster of all emotions." The band has taken home two of the six Oklahoma Rock Awards for which they were nominated. FEAR THE CLOWN has already shared the stage with the likes of The Union Underground, Flybanger, Drowning Pool, and Mushroomhead. Their hit single "Iceboat" has been climbing up the mp3.com alternative metal charts. Recently, Gotham Records licensed FEAR THE CLOWN's "Inside the Memories" to the debut episode of Smallville, the WB’s highly anticipated Superboy series. It is apparent that hard rock lives "within" these 4 guys and yes it is true, more that country music can be spawned in OKC. Watch for them in a town or on a television near you. "Every so often I am overcome with this feeling that I am standing at a crossroads in time where something big is going to happen and I have been afforded a preview of things to come; and listening to FEAR THE CLOWN's new album, Within, is one of those moments." Bobby Albert, Up And Coming Magazine, July 18, 2001.

En.Mo-Shen All the pieces held inside I only wish I see her…
Iceboat Self lied to And I hung you Can't speak no more I sealed…
Inside the Memories Inside my head my memories lost I can not breathe again,…
