A lovely name it was, but too long and difficult to pronounce and remember. So the name was shortened to HARK. Anyway, Edy kept playing the guitar, and Katariina, who had such a wonderful midtone voice, singing. Basist Martini's love for reggae had its influence. And some time later, HARK was renamed GURUHARK. They performed in Tartu, Tallinn, Pärnu and Riga.
In 2001, the extra-long debut album "Saba ja sarved", was released by Sewercide Lo-Fi. Martini and the travelling producer KO compiled it of 24 various recordings. It was presented at the legendary Tartu Childrens' Theatre. There were some more gigs, including 2002 Ökopunk appearance with J.M.K.E (arranged by Mr Vahur Puik).
Katariina died in a car accident in the end of year 2006, when a young drunk adolescent without driving license in BMW crushed her Volkswagen on 154th kilometre of Jõhvi-Tartu-Valga highway.
Thanks to the efforts of a heavy metal activist Taat, Guruhark was assambled in 2007 for a gig in the annual festival taking place in Paljassaare sewer plants. The second album "Saepuru ja Giboaboa" was released (Sewercide Lo-Fi), a compilation of studio recordings from the year 2000. In addition, the double box includes a bonus disc consisting of a variety of obscure lo-fi recordings.
