His self-titled debut album showcases a recharged, daring spirit, willing to risk new sounds. His songs have undercurrents of despair and wry humor beneath optimistic, Beatlesesque Britpop melodies sung with dusty, lo-fi vocals.
Guy Harrington began his musical training over 20 years ago and has directed his passions to music unrelentingly ever since. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin he started his first band at age 12. He is the former singer/songwriter/composer for the band World Without Sundays, which enjoyed the support of a dedicated fan base (local awards included “Best New Band” in the 2005 LA Music Awards). World Without Sundays released a self-titled debut album in 2003 and later released The B-Sides in 2005. They played dozens of shows across the West and Midwest.
Outside of his work with World Without Sundays, his accomplishments include a variety of original scores and soundtracks for film and television, mixing and editing of numerous live performances, and compositional and performance contributions to other artists/bands. One of his most recent efforts includes the score for the upcoming film 62 Pickup (2010).
