hyperstory (a.k.a. los angeles based musician Scott Blevins) enlists contributions from a range of brilliant musicians including Brooklyn based musician and vocalist Julian Cassia, Deron Johnson (Seal, Miles Davis), Joey Waronker (Beck, Ima Robot), Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction), as well as a host of others.
Recorded in a hodge-podge of studios around the Los Angeles area, hyperstory makes use of a variety of spaces and ways of recording to help create a uniquely varied sonic texture. Melodically driven songs are delivered by making use of eclectic elements including live instrumentation, sample-based programming, ambient textures, and unique performances. All are used together to create a sound that ends up being both genre-bending and cinematic in scope.

Hyperstory Lyrics
A Happening Maybe the way that today looks the same Happy and gray…
Mandate It's how I cope with the stars It's how I cope…
Something Good Time is on as life begins Wake up and show to…
Will It Ever Change Talking martyrs don't seem to amount to much Frivolous schem…
Will It Ever Change? Talking martyrs don't seem to amount to much Frivolous schem…
Sarah Quinn
on A Reckoning
Lyrics:
All I'd say
Is hope is on the way
But I like to pretend that everything's okay
I like being
I like feet I've seen
I don't think I know just what that means
Do what you do
Pay for it too
What's there to know?
Only what's so
[Refrain]
Half of life goes by unnoticed
Rest of it goes by unchosen
Tides are turning, christ is rising
Reckoning today is coming
Down
[End Refrain]
All this change
Soothing to my brain
Is thinking I could ever keep it all the same
Tell me please
Just what needs to be
So walk and move one foot in front of me
That's how it goes
Don't you know?
Choose what you choose
What's there to lose?
[Refrain]
Sarah Quinn
on A Happening
Lyrics:
Maybe the way that today looks the same
Happy and gray, I can taste yesterday
My mind goes
And goes where it goes
Waiting around, all my fear out of sights
What peace of mind in this bittersweet fight
Can we know?
What can we know?
[Refrain]
But something is happening
Can't say that I'm knowing
But something is happening here
Something is happening
Don't know where it's going
For now I'll be down over here
[End Refrain]
I can't restrain what these thoughts entertain
Laughing my way through the dark in my brain
And it goes
It goes how it goes
[Refrain]
Down over here
(La la la...)
Refrain [2x]
For now I'll be down over here [19x]
(Oh...)
