She was born December 1, 1958 in London but grew up mainly in Jamaica (her father was Jamaican; her mother British) where she got aquinted with reggae music. After Someone Loves You Honey a No. 1 Hit in the Netherlands she had another small hit there with More Than I Can Say which went to number 6. Despite creating a total of 9 albums after this, she has had no more hits .
