Originally wanting to be an opera singer (until she realized what a strict lifestyle you have to lead for that), Lucy Lawless is famous for her lead role in "Xena: Warrior Princess". Over the course of the series' six seasons, Lawless' musical talent was noticable in the two musical episodes, "The Bitter Suite" and "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire", where her voice was one of the few not dubbed, and a handful of other songs such as Eve's Lullaby and The Burial Song.
Since Xena ended, Lucy has recorded a few songs, most prominently among those "Little Child" for "Unexpected Dreams: Songs from the Stars". She has recently worked on "Celebrity Duets", a Dancing with the Stars-type show that pairs musical stars such as Smokey Robinson with telvision stars. Lucy finished second, after "Fresh Prince" actor Alfonso Ribeiro. She then moved on to do two sold-out shows in LA's Roxy Theater, three shows in NYC's Canal Room, shows in Chicago, and currently plans to do another show in January back at the Roxy!
Lucy Lawless also has two CDs out, "Come 2 Me" and "Lucy at The Roxy", both are availible via her official website, www.lucylawlessfanclub.com. You can also find DVD versions of her concerts for the Roxy, Canal Room, and Chicago!
