My Name Is Rar-Rar was a Chicago band active in the middle of a good era for weirdness (2000-2003) featuring artsy-fartsy rocker luminaries Chuck Falzone (Flying Luttenbachers, Miss Highheel, Bobby Conn), Chrissy Rossettie (The Hex, Redmoon Theatre, Maximum Cloud), Jonathan Hischke (Hella, Flying Luttenbachers, Head Of Femur, Strawberry), Greg Peters (the mighty Xerobot, Remember the Maine, TweetSquawkPurr)...also Camilla Ha (Magic Is Kuntmaster) was in the band for awhile, and Kyle Bruckmann (Lozenge, Clay Aiken, free improvisor extraordinaire) filled in on keys (in lieu of guitar) on a west coast tour.
Did a split 7" with Neon Hunk that came out on Liquid Death/Hello Pussy records, contributed a track to the 'Closet Full Of Clothes' compilation on White Denim records (in good company- Pearls & Brass, Nice Nice, Black Eyes, Hair Police, Doormouse, Small Rocks and Mammal also contributed) and gave a 20-second song to a toyo records comp that I don't think has materialized as of this writing (INCREDIBLE company on that one! Everyone is on there. Everyone. Hope it comes out sometime!)
Did the soundtrack for a short film by Gym Jones called "Undisciplined". The band ended after recording a bunch of stuff at Key Club Studios that is awaiting release. Some rough mixes were burned onto disc and sold on the west coast tour, and in Europe by 8mm records..........
Chuck and Greg continue to live in Chicago, Chrissie and Camilla are New Yorkers, Kyle is in San Fran and Jonathan lives in northern California.
