Taha Othman Ahmad (born January 1, 2000), known by his artistic name 'Odeta… Read Full Bio ↴Taha Othman Ahmad (born January 1, 2000), known by his artistic name 'Odetari', and formely known as 'VEXEN', is a rapper, singer and producer residing in Houston, Texas. He started making music in 2021, but has been gaining popularity on TikTok since 2022, most notably for his electro-pop/hyperpop tracks, like "NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER", "GOOD LOYAL THOTS" and "I <3 LATINAS".
Odetari was working as a substitute teacher at a high school in Houston before getting fired for not putting effort on his lessons but instead focusing on uploading his own music.
In 2018, Odetari used to make trap music, but it was not getting any traction, so he changed genres, leading him to make his own, called "Odecore" (which is currently a separate artist page to upload variations of his music, like "sped up" and "slowed" versions in streaming platforms). Odecore was inspired in video games and anime music.
In July of 2023, Odetari was accused of racism due to a Musixmatch lyric mistake, on "RED EYES BLACK DRAGON CHAIN", which the platform published the wrong lyrics that included the "n-word", instead of the correct ones. Musixmatch has changed the lyrics, but Odetari deleted part of his social media to avoid criticism.
