The Northfield/Minneapolis-based band formed in 2004 at St. Olaf College, consisting of guitarist and singer Eric Wilson, guitarist Davis Wille, bassist Mikael Witte and drummer Kellen Haines. Haines was replaced at the drums by Blake Wergeland in early 2005. As a quartet, the band recorded an unreleased EP during the summer of 2005 with Afternoon Records owner Ian Anderson.
After adding multi-instrumentalist Brendan Golle on keys and musical toys in late 2005, the band refined their sound and began serious work on their first record. They released their debut album Veto! on Afternoon Records in May 2006, and toured the Midwest in support of the album that summer. Early 2007 brought a 6-month hiatus for the group, as Wergeland and Witte took time to travel abroad. Upon their return, the band began writing material for a new record. In February 2008 the band again teamed up with producer Ian Anderson to record a second full-length, Literal Scene. The record was self-released by the band in May 2008.
Following a moderately successful national tour during the summer of 2008, drummer Wergeland decided to pursue a job opportunity abroad, effectively ending the band. Wilson, Golle and Witte went on to form Rabbit Rabbit, and both Eric Wilson and Golle, recording under the moniker Goob, are producing solo material.
