Vocalist Johan Maldonado, guitarist Jon Russo, drummer Mike Russo, and bassist Chenzo Vidalez have performed together for years and developed a reputation for fierce energy; honing their skills with a previous group.

Taking this chemistry coupled with a fresh new project, Psychothermia is already pushing the envelope in both music and art. The band met with stunt legend Lane Leavitt and had themselves literally set on fire to spark attention for their debut album Fall To The Rising Sun. The fumes may have proved inspiring...

The tone of the album is very dynamic and draws influence from rock, alternative metal, & other genres.

Prior to April, 2012, all four members performed together in a previous group (Canobliss). Together in this group they achieved such accolades as three nominations for San Diego Music Awards; opening performances for legends Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Hell Yeah, Biohazard, & more; as well as song placements on nearly 10 extreme sports and motorsports DVDs.
