In keeping with this progression in their repertoire they changed their name to D.A.S Koncept. Further live performances and further original compositions lead to a record deal with Machinery Records in Germany (original home of Snog, Swamp Terrorists, And One and many others in the electronic/industrial field in the early to mid nineties). With the record deal came a move to Germany and another name change (das koncept in German was seen as nonsensical). They came up with the name Static Icon and have two main releases - Sin Machine (1996), somewhat of a concept album with three sections (Bound, Passion and Release), and Slave (1998), an EP with a cover of Whip It by Devo.
