Originally known as Rockwell, the band changed its name to Stereo High in 2009, & has recently released its first full-length album ‘All Is Fair & Love Is War’.
On July 17, 2010, Stereo High will be kicking off a 2 week tour to the East Coast to help promote the release of their new record. Once home, the band will prepare for their next round of the Diablo’s Cantina ‘Rock the Roof’ Battle of the Bands, which will take place sometime this August.
Stereo High is Kirt Taylor -guitar/vox, Jake Seeland -guitar/vox, Shawn Stokes -bass/
vox & Jesse Cabaniss -drums/vox. Four dudes who like to get drunk and ‘accidentally’
punch each other in the face.. and play music. The band’s sound is derived from multiple musical influences, which usually explains why you may hear a barbershop quartet-esque vocal line, a chill reggae bridge & a squealing guitar solo that’s peppered with minor 3rd harmonies, all in the same song. Often times after a show, you might hear fans saying ‘you guys sound like Sublime & Iron Maiden’.
Stereo High has shared the stage with many big-name bands like Fishbone, Presidents of the United States of America, The Slackers, La Banda Skalavera & Voodoo Glow Skulls and looks forward to many more awesome shows in the future.
Area 107.9 has Stereo High on regular rotation during their Las Vegas local show & has invited the band into the station on several occations for some live, on-the-air shinaniganz.
The band keeps in touch with their fans via Myspace & Facebook, posting new songs, new pictures from shows, as well as dates for future shows and events. The new record is also available for purchace on many different websites -including iTunes, CdBaby & Amazon.
Stereo High is also currently writing songs for their follow-up album, which the band
hopes to release sometime in 2011. For booking info, or just to say ‘what’s up’.. you can contact the band at www.myspace.com/weAREstereohigh. You can email us as well -stereohigh@yahoo.com Check out the tunes & thanks for your time.
