Terry was the first son of Wendell and Paulette Terry, born in a small country town in North Alabama. At the age of 10 his grandmother placed a guitar in his arms and taught him a few cords. His love for music grew from that day. It didn’t take him long to know he had a gift to play and write music.
Raised up in a Christian home, he began playing in church, singing gospel music. Over the years Steven continued to listen to his favorite artists, such as T. Graham Brown, Hank Williams Jr., and many more artists and sing many types of music. Ultimately, Steven always wanted to be a song-writer and play his own songs.
Determined to see his dreams come true he never gave up. Steven's will is strong and his mind was made up to see this through.
At the age of 40 and with many years of life experiences, song titles began filling his head. With a supportive music filled family Steven wrote his first song, ”If I could turn back time” and then many more songs flooded his fingers and “Drop a Dime” was wrote.
Steven’s style of music is mixed with his country gospel back ground, a little rock & roll, and some blues and pure country. With some help from friends and family Steven's dream of recording these songs began to take place.
Steven enjoys meeting people and sharing his songs with them in hopes that they too may be encouraged to follow their dreams.
