1) Emo from Beverly, MA. Released a S/T 7" under Pensive Recording Group in 1999.
2) Emo/post hardcore from Tampa. Active 2001-2005. Released 3 EPs. Signed to Peephole Records.
In August 2001, during the last days of the chain/link disaster, jonathan disaster decided to create an indie side project along with william from ...tillidie. Thus the first incarnation of the band was formed under the name "Waiting for Bruce Willis." A falling out between band members caused the demise of this group, however before they split they were able to finish the recording of the band's only EP. Though this EP was never formally realeased, copies of the cd were distrubuted among friends and gained a postumous popularity.
Then in the summer of 2002, local rock legends "Sixteen Hours" decided to call it quits and asked jonathan if he would play some of the "Waiting for Bruce Willis" songs acoustically at there last show. At first jonathan declined because of the need of a second guitarist and the awkwardness of playing acoustic. Here steps in Nick Nausea, a friend of a friend and fan of "WBW". Nick pleaded with jonathan to play the show and to let him play the guitar in this acoustic project. Two weeks, 14 practices, and one acoustic EP later, Still Waiting was officially born.
After a month of acoustic playing, Troy a local vocal major and drummer joined the group and the trio began writing and playing shows. After recording their second EP and still without a bassist, the three began looking for the perfect match. During the search, jonathan began talking to an old friend, David, about finding a bassist. David expressed his like for the music but being a guitarist, he couldn't help with the situation. jonathan, knowing that David was an exceptional guitarist and without a current project, decided to lay down his six-string and asked David to join the band. Shortly after Matt discovered an ad for a bassist on coffee stain and joined the SW ranks.
Problems again arose between members, and Troy departed from the bands roster. Jimmy, David's brother, filled in for troy at a few shows and the band was so impressed that he was asked to join the group permanently. Over the next couple of months Still Waiting parted with Nick and Matt, and jonathan has began rocking the guitar again. Brett soon began playing bass and the group currently is recording their 1st full length and playing shows all over the state. From beginning to end, the goal of this group is to bring you music that will move you not leave your head the second the song ends.
