Markus Mörl gründete nach dem Ende der Neuen Deutschen Welle 1985 zusammen mit Mark Jeffris die Band T.X.T. Gleich ihre erste Single Girl's Got A Brand New Toy war ein Diskothekenhit in Europa (u. a. #4 in Italien). Die Nachfolgesingles (Cold As Ice, Hot Was The Rainy Night, Kiss Via Satellite) zündeten jedoch nur mäßig bzw. überhaupt nicht. Auch das Album lag wie Blei in den Läden. Nach nur zwei Jahren war das Projekt T.X.T. bereits wieder gestorben.
