Formed in Miami in 2009, Telekinetic Walrus quickly formed a strong following with their widely appealing, but unique sound, enlightened lyrics, and mesmerizing live shows. Boasting a mean roster, Telekinetic Walrus is comprised of Y Diz, The Time-Zoo Keeper, Parker, Corinne Stevie, Komakozie, Buffalo, and Fawn 5000. After a brief hiatus to create their fourth musical installment, The Believers of The Flying Squirrel, Telekinetic Walrus is re-emerging onto the scene with an album release and a winter tour.
Y Diz - a prophetic producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist uses Ableton Live, Moog synthesizers, and live instrumentation to create unearthly auditory experiences.
The Time-Zoo Keeper - a time-traveling wizard, has returned to our time to act as lead vocalist, lyricist, and contributing musician, he generates a captivating stage presence with his dynamic vocal range, soulful operatic variations, and intricate syncopated raps.
Parker - an innovative manipulator of visual design, summons live 3D projection mapping experiences, digital graphics, and album artwork through simultaneous mass eye transmissions.
Corinne Stevie - an intergalactic MC with unparalleled delivery, handcrafts astounding cerebral rhymes.
Komakozie - a vocal percussionist, MC, and lyricist brings a wild array of sonic texture from the epicenter of the universe’s primal rhythm.
Buffalo - an original architect of the Guitarstrophere, a limitless guitar-fueled supercomputer that molds dark matter into time-defying existence within consciousness.
Fawn 5000 - a sensual saxophone playing cyborg-fawn from the year 5000 A.D., and diplomat of his people, The Fawnzellians from planet Yerditrobe, unleashes a timeless cosmic sound on his classical instrument, invoking the soul of the ancient Fawnzellian musical hero, Goyiello.
Everett Ramey - an internationally acclaimed and innovative sound engineer, is the band’s production manager, in addition to traveling the galaxy designing planetary sound systems for other civilizations.
Since the group’s origin, Telekinetic Walrus has found a niche in producing sophisticated music, art, and entertainment events that bring together a notably diverse cross-section of South Florida’s population. These single-night festivals have gathered some of the region’s finest musical and artistic talent, all in one place. Shortly after performing at Ultra Music Festival in 2011, they released a collaboration album between key musical groups of the Miami scene, “ConFUNKtion 3.0.5”. This coordinated album, produced by Y Diz (of Telekinetic Walrus), gathers talent from such champions as Afrobeta, Buffalo Brown (of Elastic Bond), Fitzroy, Phaxas, and The Cornerstoners. Telekinetic Walrus has opened for international and national acts like Del The Funky Homosapien (of Gorillaz fame), Prefuse 73, King Django, Afrobeta, and more. As the group begins the next leg of their journey, their fans will get to enjoy an increasingly more engaging live show and boundary-pushing music. Telekinetic Walrus focuses daily on their ultimate goal of spreading music and good vibes to a worldwide audience, while continuing to produce live performances and events that unify people through positive ideas and active peace.
