Auston and Clint Sowords, two twin brothers, started writing music together with Auston on Guitar and Clint on the Drums. After writing a few lyrics they had some complete songs and decided have their friend Eric Guzman play the bass.
Fate played it's part when they moved into the neighborhood of Scott Bittner. The band needed a second guitarist and Scott was perfect for the job. They played some shows and soon had enough material to record a cd in Auston and Clint's garage where they practiced. "The Songs I Wrote with a Sharpie" was recorded under the band name "Loner Market" and features their earliest masterpieces. These early recordings are now very hard to come by.
A few years later they decided to take things a little further and try things out in a real studio. These new recordings came to be the demo known as "The Memories We Used to Have". As things go, the band members wanted to take things in different directions and parted ways with bassist Eric Guzman, now current bassist for friends "The Amorous".
Nothing seemed to be happening for a while, but they soon decided to have their good friend Cory Harmon fill in on bass. The band took a break for another year because of interference from the real world and different priorities.
Finally, in January of 2009 they sat down to discuss a name change and get commitments to start practicing again and playing shows. After writing down a bunch of potential names, Guitarist/Singer Auston Sowords and fellow guitarist Scott Bittner decided upon the name "The Answers to Legend". They pitched the name to Clint and Cory who instantly loved it. The Answers to Legend are currently writing new material and playing as many shows as possible. They hope to have a new 5 song EP released in early 2010.
