Instead of music, they make what they sometimes describe as "cacophonous torment," other times calling it pure genius.
Their first album was released in 2000, entitled, "Moist and Meaty," and followed with five more albums afterward in 2001, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005, respectively: "Real Butter," "Creeping Banana," "Blood Sausage," "Weenie Roast," and "Haiku."
The group generally uses music, sound effects, and voices from various movies, television, and most frequently, old video games - all seemingly without permission. Their subject matter is a random array of skits, dialogues, diatribes, or simple, unnarrated blasts of sound.
Most listeners of the Braindead Monkeys would be incapable of getting past the unintelligible noise that seems replete throughout their tracks, as noted in a rant entitled, "Fans Like You," but it is asserted that within that noise lies ingenious complexity and nuance.
