As it started getting more serious, so did they. Eventually they added another guitarist (Russ Thompson, Lead Guitar) and continued to grow and mature through playing shows and writing and recording music.
2004 sees Third to None on the verge of something huge. Their new full length, "The Best Secrets" (which is scheduled to release independent of a label on 07.13.04) is being considered a notably versatile rock record for a band that was previously considered strictly pop-punk, and very big things are expected for TTN's future.
Other than help from Trendy Winds Promotions, an online promotion company that found and is now helping to get the word out about Third to None, the band is releasing the CD entirely themselves and putting themselves on tour this summer for a few weeks on the East Coast. "We got tired of waiting around for things to happen, and we decided that we wanted to start making them happen for ourselves," says their 21 year old lead singer, Jeff Krenn.
This won't be the first time Third to None will be in some sort of limelight - Their previous EPs have sold hundreds of copies in and around their hometown as well as at shows in the states near NY the band has toured to - in between classes of course, being that every member of the band is a full time student in college.
However the expectations for this CD have risen much higher and since it was first announced back in November of 2003 that they would be releasing a full length on their own, it has become a very long-awaited and anticipated release among many key figures in the music industry. Keep an eye on this band, because in a few short months you could see some big things from Third to None.
