Vaultboy's stage name is inspired by a favorite video game series of his called Fallout, in which Vault Boy is a little blonde-haired mascot for a company that made doomsday vaults.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Vaultboy is a singer-songwriter who creates cool pop songs that reflect his personal feelings. He describes his music as a blend of indie pop, alternative, and electronic elements. When not making music, Vaultboy enjoys playing video games, with Rocket League, Fallout 4, and The Witcher 3 being some of his favorite titles.
In an interview, Vaultboy shared that his dream collaboration would be with Zedd, as he has been a fan of the EDM artist's music for a long time. He also revealed that his go-to karaoke songs are "Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard and "Strangers Like Me" by Phil Collins.
