Some artists don't want to be labeled. They bring up combinations of influences and strange references, that won't go well together. Vine-Yard is not that band.
The four guys punk & rock with a pop orientation. Their songs are easily to sing along to, and its hard to stand still while watching them play.
... Vine-Yard has already been compared with Green Day (Billie joe's and Maurice's voice just sound alike), with Alkaline trio & The Ramones. The guys are comfortable with it. They write catchy songs with anchors, its hard to get them out of your head once they're in it. The songs bring you back to the energetic live performance of the group. At a Vine-Yard show, nobody is standing still. The combination of a stage + roaring guitar amps + honest sweat gives a boost of adrenaline that you can only control while jumping around.
Vine-Yard exists since the year of 2010, they played from Krimpen aan den Ijssel till Alphen aan den Rijn, and from Amsterdam till Gronau. On festivals (Geuzenpop, Liberationfestival Almere, Jera Open Air) In clubs (Dynamo Eindhoven, Melkweg Amsterdam, Paradiso) en they attended several band competitions.
The big price of Holland (quarter-final!), The Amsterdam Popprice (final!), The Sena popnl awards (final!), The breakthrough (final!) and Flavourland (final and they won!).
3FM dj Bert Van Lent called Vine-Yard ''the perfect mix of Blink-182 & Green Day, Fantastic!''. And while we are quoting: ''the chemistry within the band is not only felt in the songs, but is also seen on stage. Vine-Yard has the ingredients to get far in the music industry, and that they're having fun is obvious'' wrote Upmagazine. 3voor12 said: ''the experience the band has gained along the way shows from the very first second they get on stage''. Judges of The Breakthrough said: Technically strong performance, they bring their music with a lot of fun and confidence". And Fokko Mellema, good friend and member of the band Want Want said about their EP: Five catchy, explosive tracks, that wont leave your head once they're in it!. Now that's how we like to hear it, from someone else.
Its going fast, but it can go faster. Way faster.
