William Black got his start in the late 2010s making hard-edged dubstep for labels like Dim Mak, but his sound gradually mellowed into a rich, emotional strain of melodic bass at its most uplifting.
William Black’s songs touch on important topics including depression, addiction, love and loss. These songs feature his signature soundscape of beautiful uplifting melodies with passionate singers. These qualities allowed his 2018 debut EP, “Universe”, to climb the iTunes Dance Charts to #1. In 2019, William Black continued to push the boundaries of dance music by creating nostalgia through sound on his album “Pages” which charted on iTunes and Billboard Dance.
