Belinda F. on vocals, violin and guitar
Hannes Z. on korg, guitar
Peter B. on programming, drums, glockenspiel
Bernhard W. on bass
Bernhard G. on trumpet (since 2008)
Dreaming and dancing, Ambient and Disco...
Comprehensible beats from the drum computer walking along with the dancing grooves of the bass guitar. Movement happens. The drifting, flattering sounds and the audio-surface produced by the synthesizer, decorated with thorough melodies of the violin, arousing trumpet sounds or traversing sounds from a glockenspiel ... they wake up colors and begin to awaken shapes. A picture is being painted. On top of this musical ambiance, charming and emotional vocals are spread - inventing a story for you.
XBloome conjures sustaining melodies and a carpet made of sound for you "to lie down on it and dream away" - or hot, jiggy sounds to make you dance. The band was formed in 2005, and wanders on common paths since then. XBloome started to create their music in a small, blue room in a flat. Inspiring as that blue room was, XBloome's first song was written about it and is therefore even called „Blue Room“. The very first gigs were played in flats owned by apartment-sharing communities. At these gigs it turned out that the first drumset, built out of trash, bottles and cans, couldn't be used for gigs at bigger locations, and was thus was replaced by a drum computer.
Gigs in Vienna and other Austrian cities, but also abroad (CZ, SE) have been played.
The small blue room was traded in for another, larger and red room and because of XBloome's consequent urge to further develop their sound, a trumpet player was added in Summer 2008. Within the last four years, XBloome turned itself into a compact audible and optical experience while maintaining their flexibility and open mindedness regarding compositions. Approximately, from time to time, they can be enjoyed live, completely without electronics at an unplugged concert, offering a possibility to get to know their songs from a totally different point of view.
