In 1994, Luca joined the dark metal band “Sinoath”. In October 1995 the band recorded the album “Research” which was highly appraised throughout the world of underground music. In 1998 Luca met Riccardo Samperi, a Catanese sound engineer and producer, who encouraged him to explore his creative capabilities also as a singer. The result was Luca’s first cd as a songster, called quite simply “promo 1999”. THis work was also well received. In 2002 he founded the group “Kerigma” and produced a second demo-cd with six tracks which gained him a place in the Tim Tour and Telethon shows. By this time Luca’s songs were starting to show a well-defined melodic rock personality and structure. In the summer of 2002 he produced another mini-cd, this time completely unplugged. One of his new tracks “Fragile” was later to find its way onto the 2003 demo of his group “Kerigma”. THis was followed by a period of intense activity as guitarist with the noise-alternative band “Ikara” with whom he participated in the Tim Tour (again) and Bologna Music Festival. The year 2005 was the year of the artistic turnaround, the complete change in sound and approach to composition. Alone and relying exclusively on his own determination, Luca produced the album “Che c’entra Iside?” (What’s Isis got to do with it?) which he considers the departure point for his new musical adventure. The album is an introspective journey into his feelings, his raw emotions, as his mind and spirit perceive them and as his heart desires to communicate them. He took on board in this adventure his mob of hermit crabs (as he affectionately calls them) and left for a destination which is still unknown but which will turn out to be richly intense. In the meantime, on the request of his friend and promising Catanese film director Filippo Arlotta, he started composing tracks for the soundtrack of Arlotta’s film “Sassi nel Deserto” (Stones in the Desert). In 2006 he started to sing with the techno-thrash-metal band “Mystura” whose second album “Joke Horror” came out in May 2007 and in the same period he produced Ikara’s debut album “Vuoto Perfetto” (Perfect Vacuum/Emptiness). He also participated in the selections for Arezzo Wave and continued to write without interruption. At the beginning of 2007 he took part as an actor in Filippo Arlotta’s short film “Papilio 2017” and also returned to the recording studio (TRP Music) to start work on his new album which is due out in the autumn. “Con ogni respiro” (With every breath) is the next milestone on his journey.
