Pretty cute, huh?
Here is what he wrote about himself on Facebook:
"i was at a pretty weird point in my life in 2015: i'd moved into a one bedroom apartment, living alone for the first time; i'd started taking classes at the university where i didn't know anybody; my social anxiety seemed to be at its peak; and i didn't feel very close to anybody, mostly because i held my real self back, for reasons i'm still not so sure about.
i'd wanted to write music for a while, i just didn't know how to go about it, or what to write about. about 5 months into living alone, i picked up my notebook and started writing about the one thing i was sure i could: family.
once i got the one song out, it all kind of just worked. nothing i ever wrote seemed to turn out very positive or happy - sad things have always appealed more to me, for whatever reason.
most of my life i've kind of felt like an extra in the lives of the people around me, somehow inferior. sociality was always a strange, difficult thing, so i often kept to myself. so 'the smallest one' seemed an appropriate moniker.
i initially wasn't planning on ever sharing any of my music. i wrote mostly to try and help coddle my own personal and psychological issues. eventually i thought that maybe other people are having the same problems, or experiencing similar feelings, and i was pretty happy with the recordings, so i ended up releasing 'what happened?' into the world. people seemed to like it.
i feel like the release of that first album was a big step toward feeling comfortable with showing myself to people.
i'm currently working on a third album, which i'm hoping to be finished sometime Spring 2017. :o)"
