Cledus wishes to live through the night and into the morning.

Please don't serve beans on Christmas night
Cledus makes a plea not to serve beans for Christmas dinner.

Cook up a steak or toss some greens
Cledus suggests alternatives to beans such as steak or greens.

But don't bake those powerful beans
Cledus emphasizes his dislike for baked beans.

Cause if I take one single bite
Cledus believes that even a small bite of beans would cause issues for him.

We won't have a silent night
Cledus implies that serving beans will lead to noise and chaos instead of the traditional silent night.

And my poor dog will howl and bay
Cledus paints a picture of his dog reacting negatively to the smell of beans.

And pray that foul bouquet
Cledus asserts that the smell of beans is foul and unappetizing.
