That full lenght 32' Contrebombarde first C is something at the end isn't it ! Regardfull to all for the judicious comments on this video and Peter Van De Velde's remarquable interpretation let's not forget Widor was himself the one to inaugurate this organ in 1892, as he had in great admiration Schyven's work and organ.

As soon as this piece started, I got chills down my spine. I will never be able to fully explain why organ music is so amazing. I don't think there are words in any human language that would do this music justice. Beautiful is not enough.

Thomas Bishop Hearing an organ play whilst a choir of voices sing at Notre Dame was the single most spine chilling feelings I have ever experienced. I miss it so.

I agree whole-heartedly! I love this piece, as well as Bach's "Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor". You are correct, there ARE no words to describe how sublime the organ is!

Lindo! Maravilhoso! Simplesmente magnífico!

My goodness. You never hear such wonderful combinations of stops. This guy knows how to make this organ sing to it's full potential. And the organ responds quite well, no waiting for the low notes. Well done. The low C needed some tuning :( haha
