I really liked the ants in this movie. I wish they had done more with them and developed their characters a little further. Maybe expanded them into more scenes with the other actors and allowing the audience to know a little about their background and what their significance is with respect to the entire storyline. Roth kind of left us hanging after this scene.

The problem with this movie is it tried to re-create an Italian cannibal movie from the 70s but those movies were made with virtually no oversight, actor safety, or ethics.
The 70s movies were the closest thing to actual snuff films you can get and that's why people did (and do) find them so fascinating.

Incase people don't understand how this is a torture method they are using since they're only ants. Do you even realize that ants can hurt if they are this big. Trust me I've held an ant this big in my hand and it basically feels like as if they're biting you or something. So yeah having this many on your body would definitely not feel good.

Finally watched this movie..it was terrible...just awful. The original movie it was based off of was way better which in fact had been banned in many countries due to the fact one of the people disappeared during filming and her remains where later found..well mostly digested and not by animals.

I heard one of those ants couldn't get along with its cast mates or any of the main actors apparently. The director told him to straighten up or most of his scenes would be cut, the ant agreed and this remains its only known work in cinema. A good job if I may add.
