S3RL Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I want a Hentai girl for me to make me happy
I want her so I can stop using my hand
Every single day, while watching anime
I'd pull her from my screen just like in my dreams
I want feel her touch, mainly on my crotch
I want my own hentai girl and she would sing
La-la-la-la (?X)
Masturbate to cartoons!
And she would sing
La-la-la-la (?X)
Masturbate to cartoons!
Oh-ooh-oh-ooh
I want a Hentai girl for me to make me happy
I want her so I can stop using my hand
Every single day, while watching anime
I'd pull her from my screen just like in my dreams
I want feel her touch, mainly on my crotch
I want my own hentai girl and she would sing
La-la-la-la (?X)
Masturbate to cartoons!
And she would sing
La-la-la-la (?X)
The lyrics to S3RL feat. Jodie's song "MTC" (or "Masturbate to Cartoons") are explicit and straightforward, with the singer expressing a desire for a "Hentai girl" to make him happy and fulfill his sexual desires. The use of "hentai" (a Japanese term for pornographic anime or manga) and the reference to masturbating to cartoons emphasizes the objectification and fetishization of animated characters, and feeds into a larger conversation about the dangers of the sexualization of minors and unrealistic expectations for women.
However, it's important to note that the song is a satire and meant to be tongue-in-cheek. S3RL, the Australian DJ behind the song, has stated that he created it as a joke and didn't expect it to become as popular as it did. The song's popularity can be attributed to its catchy beat and meme-ability, with fans remixing it and using it in various videos.

@@OverusedBruhSFX For the better? For the BETTER??? BULLSHIT!
Now I've typed a several-paragraph rant because this has been bugging me for a while. Sorry/Enjoy
At least 95% of internet traffic goes to sites owned by the same small handful of companies. These sites;
* Actively snuff out the grassroots creativity that make the Internet fun in favor of advertiser-friendly slop
* Engage in monopolistic business practices to stay on top, muscling out any potential competitor that crops up
* Censor information that doesn't align with their financial/political incentives (Even Wikipedia is going down the tubes, I will never NOT find it jarring to see subjective language such as "We should remember and keep in mind that..." on Wikipedia as opposed to objective statements acknowledging differing popular opinions if necessary)
* Shoehorn political propaganda down your throat
I could go on. Whoops, looks like I am!
The modern Internet is fucking trash. They've sucked the fun and humanity out of it, replacing it with algorithms designed to keep people stupid and anxious so they keep watching, to increase ad revenue. They make it worse and worse and worse, gaslight you into thinking you're the crazy one for noticing the enshittification of their services, then have the gall to beg you with teary moe-eyes to "PWEEEAAAASE buy a subscwiption!!! We're just a poor little multibillion dollar startup, please no adblockers! Please pay for our subscription service!"
I saw horrible things on the Internet as a kid; Goatse, lemonparty, tubgirl, gore, the Encyclopedia Dramatica "Offended" Page, I learned countless swear words from YouTube Poops, I had full access to hardcore pornography the second I hit puberty.
But you know what?
I had fun.
I learned quickly how to identify and avoid scams, and got a sense for noticing intellectual dishonesty even through words on a screen. I learned many things about science and technology, particularly in regards to firearms and automobiles. I learned how dangerous the world can be, how depraved humans are sometimes, and how fragile life is; but likewise, how kind people can be given the opportunity. Met like-minded people from around the world, even as a strange young man with Aspergers who otherwise sucked with social skills.
And I wouldn't have changed it for the world.
And then, once every single person had the Internet available at all times, on what just 25 years ago would be considered a supercomputer, right in their pocket? Every single middling-IQ normie who thinks they're smart because they can understand what they've been told with big words, but isn't smart enough to "reverse-engineer" it in their heads and tell that it's a lie being used to fuck them over?
They used this incredible blessing to post pictures of whatever the fuck they got for lunch today, hoping some people they haven't talked to in 6 years will click a like button and validate them.
An incredible library of whatever movie, or band's entire discography, or cracked video game, or book, freely available if you just learn how to use torrents. Completely free, unless your ISP sends you a cease-and-desist love letter, in which case; pay $5/month for a VPN for every piece of media you've ever wanted at no extra cost, every movie and series in HD, every song as lossless FLACs. Directly onto your own hardware, where you can watch it even during a power/internet outage. Where it can't be taken from you because of some bullshit copyright dispute or your subscription ran out or something.
And people spend several dozens, if not hundreds of dollars a month on tons of different streaming services. Normal people who can barely afford groceries and rent to begin with, sometimes buying multiple subscriptions for a single series because the IP changed hands between seasons.
The mass adoption of smartphones by brainrotted normies who are too lazy to learn how to download a .torrent and open it in qbittorrent, as opposed to giving their hard-earned money to massive incestuous conglomerations has ruined the Internet in the span of a decade. The most incredible technology available to the average person at a second's notice, that gives EVERYONE the most vast expanse of information ever known in history?
They all fucking ruined it. Laughed at the nerds who built it, enabled the greedy scum to drive out the outcasts and creatives who made it good, and just came in and stomped it out until it became what they wanted: A big expensive fake reality TV show.
For the better, MY LEFT FUCKING NUT!
FUCKING NORMIES!!! GO BACK TO FACEBOOK AND FUCKING STAY THERE!!!!!

It's actually just a human voice. I got a single 'la' recorded and then looped, tuned and edited it to make it sound cool. It was more or less an experiment that turned out well =)
