@theahughes703
was born the signet
of perfection
call me by my
starred complexion
they believe me
well endowed
please relieve me
fly too close and now
i can barely see
the sky before me
vague inscriptions
floating stardust
one recompense
do what i must
but what fault
should i grieve
diadem and
scepter they percieve
me, the son of dawn
i know its wrong
to not listen
turn away to
eyes that glisten
little cherub
and the seraph
thats enough
that is all of
me, the son of dawn

the first reminds me so much of arvo pärt cantus in memoriam of benjamin britten. It's so beautiful
@sergioazevedo7390
Part's piece if from 1976, this one from 1963... Gorecki was the real inventor of the Holy MInimalism...
@stephenjablonsky1941
How wonderful to find new expression in material so old. "Old wine in new bottles"
@BoizBigBroSaint
Beautiful

Mistrz Górecki! <3
@oclictis1
I've only recently gotten into Gorecki but he's quickly becoming a favorite composer of mine. This is proto-ambient, to me
@frankpiccione8571
What is proto-ambien?
@frankpiccione8571
I mean what is proto -ambient? Can you be more clear?
@51stcitizen92
@@frankpiccione8571 i think he means to say it is a pre-cursor to modern ambient music like the later works of brian eno, certain works by aphex twin, william basinski, grouper, etc. while i don't know if it was a direct influence on any of those artists, the first piece in this video certainly seems to have stylistic similarities with them like the slow tempo, long-held chords that change slowly bit by bit, and the general absence of any instruments or notes with harsh attacks
