This is one of those rare tracks that you hear, and there's not a thing you'd change about it. I love the way it draws you in, right from the start and leaves you wanting to know more from both the people in this song...
The way their voices cross back and forth over the warm, golden twang of the guitar...
The way the lyrics are cute and endearing without ever being corny or cliche...
That momentary cut-off to the trailing piano note at 2:06 and again at 2:10- it's unexpected without being jarring or out of place...
Even the bittersweet memories I have of listening to this song (and this album) on high rotation on a Saturday or Sunday morning back in the Autumn of 2007...
Also, if you shut your eyes, you can picture Mordecai and Margaret from 'Regular Show' singing to one another...
