Korrozia Metalla was founded in 1984 in Moscow, USSR by bass guitarist Sergey Troitsky, better known under stage name Pauk (Spider). All other members of the band have also taken stage names: Boar (Sergey Vysokosov) - guitars, Schizophrenic - vocals, Crutch (Roman Lebedev) - guitars, Sucks (Vadim Mikhailov) - bass guitar, Morgue - drums. The band's first live show was illegally carried out in an appartement house basement. Annoyed by their noise, the neighbours called for police, which forced Korrozia to leave the stage.
Next year the band joined Moscow Rock Lab, which allowed to perform rock music legally. The band's first album, Orden Satany (Order of the Satan) was released in 1988. No Soviet state label was ready to release that kind of music, so Pauk created his own one, Corporation of Heavy Rock (КТР in russian abbreviature). Before the album was recorded, Schizophrenic was fired and since then Boar performed vocals as well as guitar. Morgue was replaced by Yasher (Lizard). Orden Satany presented a raw thrash metal with heavy hardcore punk influence (the so-called crossover thrash).
During Perestroika, censorship was lifted, and Korrozia soon became notorious for lyrics and imagiery that, although consistent with western death metal traditions, were quite provocative by Soviet Russia's measures. For their live shows, they employed strip girls to dance on stage and decorated it with pyrotechnics and "satanic" imagiery. Similarly, the band's lyrics consisted of black humour, describing violence, bloodshed and sodomy. Korrozia Metalla albums were named Cannibal (1990) or Sadism (1992), and their 'trademark' songs include such tittles as Vampire Tank, AIDS, Eat Alive, Dead Rasputin.
Since 1993 Pauk eventually fired all the original lineup and gradually shifted to right-wing ultranationalist lyrics, similar to that of Oi! and White Power bands. During the promotional tour for Computer Hitler album, Korrozia even employed a Hitler impersonator for their live shows. Pauk again indicated his interest in politics when nominated himself for mayor of Moscow. Currently he runs grindcore side project Anal Nosorog.
Korrozia's songs were covered by the number of artists. The band's best known song, Russian vodka, was covered by Koldbrann and Aggressor.
The band's lyrics contain a lot of abuse and references to violence, satanism, sex, alcohol, and, in the recent years, neo-Nazism. In recent years their music style changed to thrash metal with grindcore, punk and industrial influences.
Later, in second half of 00's the Spider changed the band's style to previous. For example, Война миров (The War of Worlds) and 666 like albums show less nationalist and more thrash and humorous, like in 80-90's.

The song, titled "15 Men on a Dead Man's Chest" in English, is a pirate shanty that glorifies the infamous pirate Blackbeard, who is also referred to as "Jolly Roger" in some interpretations. The lyrics begin with a call to Jolly Roger to pour wine for the crew and to prepare for battle with a three-strike signal of the axe. The chorus repeats the phrase "15 men on a dead man's chest" four times, emphasizing the ruthless and brutal nature of the pirate life. The second verse describes the contents of the chest, including skulls, bones, and gold coins.
The song provides insight into the life of the pirate crew, as they live a lawless and dangerous existence, in which their only source of wealth is from plundering ships and looting treasure. The imagery evoked in the lyrics also highlights the fear that pirates instilled in their victims, portraying the pirates as ruthless killers, who show no mercy.
Interestingly, the song has been adapted numerous times, and the lyrics have been changed in various languages and cultures. For example, the song was featured in Robert Louis Stevenson's famous novel "Treasure Island", in which the phrase "yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum" was added, and the chorus was changed to "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest, Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum!" Additionally, the melody of the song was also adapted for the famous Disney ride "Pirates of the Caribbean".
