First album as the Purgen name was ''Vse Gosudarstva – Konclagerja (All the States-Concentration Camps'' which released in 1992.Year after, they released ''Transplantacija Mirovozzrenija (Transplantation of Attitude)''
By that first albums they formed their recognizable style. Songs are fast and noisy and lyrics are provocative; but on that albums, the quality of sound wasn't the best.
1994. was recorded and re-published LP ''Transplantacija Mirovozzrenija (Transplantation of Attitude)'' and after that, the band broke up because of poorness. Most of the gigs they were playing were not bringing them any income but travel costs, and life is expensive...
Ruslan(frontman) in 1995. meets two brothers Gnom and Panamo and invites them to the bend. They released ''Radiacionnaja Aktivnost iz Musornogo Baka (Radioactivity From the Rubbish Container'' and on that album you can recognize that their sound gets more quality and their attidute is more agressive than it was till then.
In 1997. with help of the bassist from german bend Grune Noise, Purgen releases ''Filosofija Urbanisticeskogo Bezvremenija (Philosophy of Urban Hard Times)''
Thanks to that album, they were noticed by publishing house Hobgoblin Records.
With their help, the band became more popular, the concerts were filled by the punkers.
In that time they had first tour around the Germany (wich was their first tour out of Russia)
1999.'s album ''Toksidermisty Gorodskogo Bezumija (Toxidermists of Urban Madness)''
was turning point for Purgen. They weren't demo band anymore and 2000. they started a big tour in Russia.
2003- they release album ''Razrusenie Dlja Sozidanija (Destroy for Creation'' and they sound gets better than ever before.
2004-Protest Detalej Mehanizma - has 23 songs, that album is compilation of most listened songs on last 6albums.
2006 - ''Reinkarnacija (Reincarnation) ''
Now, in september 2010 they are on tour, hope so they'll came in my country so I can see my fauvorite band !:)

The song "Душа" by Пурген speaks about the belief that one's soul chooses the body in which it will live. The soul knows what it will do in life and how to live in this world. It remembers what happened in past lives and knows what will happen in the future. The soul is united with the field of all thoughts and the astral-ethereal rain. The song advises the listener not to blame themselves for who they have become, the family they were born into, or the struggles they face in life. Instead, the listener should remember that they chose their own path and have the power to change it.
The song also touches upon the idea of karma, as the soul remembers the wounds it inflicted in past lives and is put into certain conditions to learn from them. The internal voice and conscience protect the listener from misfortune and teach them valuable lessons.
