Members:
Koumoto Hiroto (甲本ヒロト) – Vocal
Mashima Masatoshi (真島昌利) – Guitar
Shirabe Sakito (調先人) – Bass
Oshima Kenji (大島賢治) – Drums
Shirai Mikio (白井幹夫) – Keyboard
This lineup remained intact until 2003, when keyboardist Shirai Mikio left the band. The following year ↑THE HIGH-LOWS↓ cut their ties to Universal Music, and Koumoto and Mashima formed HAPPYSONG RECORDS, their very own record label with ties to BMG Japan, which has since distributed their releases. After announcing their disbandment in late 2005, Koumoto and Mashima decided to form another punk rock band together, and ended up naming it ザ・クロマニヨンズ (The Cro-Magnons).

(No No Winter days)
(No No Winter days)
(No No Winter days)
(No No Winter days)
(No No Winter days)
(No No Winter days)
The lyrics to ↑THE HIGH-LOWS↓'s song レッツゴーハワイ express the frustrations of dealing with the harsh winter season in Japan. The verses highlight the physical symptoms and discomfort that come with the cold weather, such as dry skin, poor circulation, static electricity, and runny noses. The chorus provides an escape from the winter blues and urges the listener to come to Hawaii, where they can dance the hula under the shade of palm trees. The upbeat tempo and catchy chorus create a sense of excitement and a longing for a warmer climate.
The song is also a form of rebellion against the societal norms of Japanese culture that value conformity and modesty. The lyrics encourage the listener to shed their winter clothing and embrace a more carefree lifestyle, even if only in their imagination. The mention of Paris in the bridge adds an element of exoticism and suggests that there are other destinations besides Hawaii where one can let loose and be free.
Overall, レッツゴーハワイ is a fun and uplifting song that speaks to the universal desire for warmth, escape, and liberation.
