私がさださんの歌を聴き始めたのは、たまたま同じクラスにさださんの大ファンがいて、「いいから聞いてみろよ、絶対いいから」と、
半ば押し付けられたライブアルバムの「随想録」でした。
その中に収録されていたこの曲を聞いた時、それまで聞いた事のない心動かされるメロディーと歌詞、
それを渾身の力で歌い上げるさださんに完全に打ちのめされて、
その時からもう随分長いさださんのファン歴が始まりました。
この東大寺の落慶法要のこのコンサートの「つゆのあとさき」も、鳥肌が立つくらいに聴き惚れました。
話は違いますが、昔さださんがラジオの番組で「芸能人」たる所以について語っていた事も思い出しました。
確かあの時さださんは、芸能人という言葉を辞書で調べてみたら、
「寺社仏閣に歌舞音曲を奉納するもの」と書いてある。まさしく私こそ芸能人ではないか！ と(笑)
さださんこそ東大寺の落慶法要にふさわしい真の「芸能人」だと、
大いに納得したのを思い出しました(笑)。

大学時代、さだまさしさんが大好きで、カセットテープで何度も繰り返し聴いていた。メロディーも歌詞も大好きだった。今でもあの頃聞いた曲を聴くと、タイムスリップし、胸がジンと熱くなる。振り返ると平和な時代だったと思う。
