全て投げ出してもいいじゃないの?
Used to be 諦めるのは easy

All this is killing me

In "Can We Go Back" by 倖田來未, the lyrics reflect on a desire to return to a previous time, a time when things were simpler and easier. The chorus repeats the question of whether it's possible to go back to the way they used to be.
The first paragraph expresses a longing to go back in time and a willingness to let go of everything in order to achieve that. The mention of butterflies suggests a feeling of lightness and freedom associated with the past. The line "Used to be 諦めるのは easy" means that giving up used to be easy, implying that it's harder now in the present.
In the second paragraph, the lyrics portray the current state as a confusing maze with no clear way out. This state of confusion is described as killing the person. The desire for simplicity and craziness reflects a yearning to break free from the complexity and monotony of the present situation.
The third paragraph mentions the realization that some things are unattainable for anyone, even someone considered a hero. It suggests that at the point of feeling helpless and thinking there is no way out, it is a sign of defeat. The lyrics then mention that the time has come to change, possibly referring to embracing a different mindset or approach.
The final paragraph acknowledges the familiarity of losing or giving up, stating that the person has become accustomed to it. The lyrics contrast this with the fearlessness that the person had as a child. The line "人生 負け戦なんてしたところで 何も生まれない" conveys the idea that engaging in losing battles in life leads to nothing.
The song ends by questioning whether it is possible to try and go back to the way they used to be, emphasizing the need to let go of everything in order to do so. The repetition of the phrase "Back to the way we used to be" reinforces the longing for returning to a past state. Overall, the lyrics express a desire for simplicity, freedom, and a rejection of the complexities and defeats of the present.
