空袭
新裤子 Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
The vitality's attacked by Countless bomber
Sometimes our life is not really happy
Like an interlude without the end
I guess it's all right
If we're in control
It should be all right
Cause nobody mind except us
The vitality's attacked by Countless bomber
Sometimes our life is not really happy
Like the pleasure with kind of void
I guess it's all right
If we're in control
The air is filled with smoke
People are all dead
Take a look on the love we're having
Take a look on the reason we're having
Take a look on the life we're living
Take a look on the passion we're having
Take a look on the money we're possessing
Take a look on the time we're having
Take a look on everything around us
Take a look on everything we're owning
The lyrics of 新裤子's song "空袭" convey a powerful metaphorical comparison between life and an air-raid, where the vitality and essence of one's existence are under attack by an overwhelming force, much like a relentless barrage of bombers. This imagery sets the tone for an introspective exploration of the complexities and challenges that can arise in life. The repeated mention of life not always being happy suggests a sense of disillusionment or dissatisfaction with the state of affairs, as if navigating through a prolonged interlude marked by uncertainty and a lack of fulfillment.
The lyrics further delve into the theme of control and agency in one's life, implying that being in control can bring a sense of reassurance and security amid turbulent times. However, the acknowledgment that nobody else truly minds except for the individuals themselves hints at a deep sense of personal responsibility and accountability for one's own well-being and happiness. This introspection on the nature of control and self-awareness adds layers of depth to the narrative, highlighting the importance of self-reflection and coming to terms with one's own reality.
As the imagery of the air-raid intensifies and the air becomes filled with smoke and death surrounds, the lyrics take a poignant turn towards examining various aspects of life and existence. The contemplation on love, reason, living, passion, money, time, and material possessions serves as a reflection on the multifaceted nature of human experiences and aspirations. This reflective inventory of elements that define our lives invites listeners to ponder the significance of each component and its impact on our overall sense of fulfillment and purpose.
In the closing lines, the repetition of "take a look" underscores a call to mindfulness and introspection, urging us to pause and truly observe everything that surrounds us and shapes our existence. The lyrics prompt us to examine not just our external possessions and circumstances but also the intangible aspects of life such as love, passion, and personal connections. Through this introspective journey, "空袭" invites us to reconsider our priorities, values, and the way we navigate through the complexities of life, encouraging a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
