Laozi

This is one of my favorite Chopin pieces. It tells a story of hopes rising, then quickly dashed. This Polish melancholia is very evident in Vladimir Ashkenazy rendition (on Decca), which in my mind can't be touched. Here Yundi Li plays it well enough, but the feeling of fleeting hopes is lost in translation.

Overall you did pretty good but it did sound kinda boring. Great job !!!

Having listened through the first and second Impromptus I was so disappointed with this one. It really sounds like he's left his car double parked so he could record this. All the notes are there but it left me cold and uninterested. Yundi is an amazing talent but this sounds to me like he learned this simply to record the whole set. Looking forward to hearing him live soon though.
